Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.7 percent in August 2016, unchanged from the July 2016 rate, but down 0.5 percentage point from 5.2 percent a year ago.
Employment Job growth
Florida job growth cooled slightly in August as it added 15,200 private sector jobs, according to the monthly ADP Regional Employment Report released Thursday. Florida's two chief rivals among top job-creating states — California and Texas — both outperformed the Sunshine State, adding 27,800 jobs and 21,400 jobs, respectively.

Invitation to Negotiate Announcement

This Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) is for One Stop Services Operations beginning on July 1, 2017 and ending on June 30, 2018. CareerSource Florida Crown (CSFC) intends to award a cost reimbursement contract to one organization for One-Stop operation services. The final contract will contain provisions for contract cancellation or re- negotiation. The contract is for one (1) year with four (4) additional renewable options that may be negotiated based on successful outcomes in year one of the contract. The cost for the option periods will be agreed upon by CSFC and contractor on an annual basis. It is anticipated that the cost for the optional years will be based upon the same approximate cost per thousand dollars of One Stop Services expenditures as the contract for the initial period.
